SMS Consent Communication

Information such as phone numbers obtained as part of the SMS consent process will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes. Phone numbers are collected through the form on our Contact Page.

If SMS messages are not desired, the SMS consent box on forms can be left unchecked.

Types of SMS Communications

If consent has been given to receive SMS text messages from de Luz Family Counseling Center, messages may be received related to the following:

 

Initial Opt-In notification

Initial appointment information
Appointment reminders
Follow-up messages regarding your appointment
Billing inquiries

Pertinent information to our locations such as new addresses or closures

Final Opt-Out notification (if opting-out)


An example of an SMS Text Message you may receive is: "Hello, this is a reminder of your upcoming Individual Therapy Session appointment with Farah Centeno at 31569 Canyon Estates Dr Suite #105 Lake Elsinore, CA 92532 on January 20, 2025, at 9:30 AM. Reply STOP to opt out of SMS messaging with de Luz Family Counseling at any time."

Message Frequency

Message frequency may vary depending on the type of communication. Up to 10 SMS messages per week may be received related to appointments, billing, follow-up reminders, etc.

Potential Fees for SMS Messaging

Standard message and data rates may apply, depending on the carrier's pricing plan. These fees may vary if the message is sent domestically or internationally.

Opt-In Method

Opting-in to receive SMS messages from de Luz Family Counseling Center can be done in the following ways:


Verbally, during a conversation
By opting into SMS Text Message communications on our Contact Page

The initial SMS Text Message you will receive is: "START. Thank you for opting into SMS messages from de Luz Family Counseling Center. For help, reply HELP. To opt out at any time, reply STOP. Message and data rates may apply. Messaging frequency may vary. Privacy policy available at https://www.deluzfcc.com/privacypolicy.”

Opt-Out Method

Opting out of receiving SMS messages can be done at any time by replying "STOP" to any SMS message received.

 

Alternatively, direct verbal or email contact can be made to request removal from the messaging list.
 

The final SMS Text Message you will receive is: "STOP. Thank you for opting-out of SMS messages from de Luz Family Counseling Center. You will receive no further messages. To opt back in at any time, reply START.”
